Welcome to earlymotor.com, a site dedicated to those interested in early motoring. We will try to cover all aspects of the field: veteran cars, veteran motorcycles, commercials and even the odd reference to aeroplanes and boats. Our emphasis is on Australia and New Zealand, but as you'll see there is much of interest to aficionados of early motoring regardless of your home country.

My original web site Leon's Vintage Motorcycle Page was about veteran and early vintage motorcycles, a field that has given me tremendous pleasure for many years. However it was my research into Vivian Lewis and his Australian-made motorcycles The Lewis Project that kindled my interest in early motor cars. Three years editing a veteran car club magazine gave me the opportunity to broaden my interest and knowledge from early motorcycles to general motoring history, particularly in Australia.

The intention of this new web site is to bring together all aspects of Australian and New Zealand motoring history in one place. A key element is the new monthly e-zine Serpolette's Tricycle . Subscribe for free, or download it from this site.
