Vivian Lewis Limited operated a branch at Edithburgh on the Yorke Peninsula in the period around 1909 - 1911. In an advertisement for the "V. Lewis Ltd Motor and Cycle Depot" in that august journal the Southern Yorke's Peninsula Pioneer on 15th January 1910 no address is given, but we are told that M.P. Murphy (know, I believe, as Motor Murphy) was the manager, and that there were "New and Secondhand Cars, Motor Cycles and all Motor and Cycle Accessories on hand at Adelaide Prices". Cash or terms were available.
Other than that the depot was well stocked and short lived, we have no additional information at this stage.
Can you help? An address, an old photo, a faded sign on a surviving building, a recollection... please email me if you can add to the Lewis story in Edithburgh.
